It can feel like this part of a church website is supposed to be punchy and succinct. There is a real temptation to write down what one might think (or what the research says) people want to hear when they are online shopping for a church. Instead of that, we just want to try and tell you something about who we are, and you can decide if that sounds interesting or not.
We’re ordinary people. We struggle with all the ordinary things people struggle with. We get together to learn how to love and follow God by living in the way of Christ, or – for some of us – to try to figure out if that’s what we really want to do. We meet in a space that feels enough like home to say, “Welcome,” but not so much like home that we forget that the way of Christ leads us everywhere, not just to “church.” We’re trying to learn how to love God, to love one another, and to love the world God has made. We hope to provide a space to discover what that could look like.
If that sounds interesting to you, drop in! We meet for coffee at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, and then gather together for worship and teaching at 10:30 a.m. 499 Notre Dame Avenue (2nd floor, above Independent Jewellers).
