September 8 – Back to SUNDAYS!

September 6, 2013

Hello Tablers!

First of all, adjust your schedules to SUNDAY, 10:30 a.m.  Nope, I didn’t say “set your alarm for 10:30 a.m.”.  We meet at 10:30, back in the A Gallery at Frame Arts Warehouse, 318 Ross. I’m looking forward to seeing the faces of the folks for whom Mondays were a non-starter (and the rest of the community as well, of course).

And on a “we’re back!” kind of note, I am going to explore the question “What kind of world are we living in, and is there any place for God in it?” Seems like every week brings new discoveries, new complexities, new perspectives on everything from how the world thinks justice might be enacted (to bomb Syria or not to bomb Syria…that is the question) to whether a particle accelerator can lead to the discovery of “the god particle” to whether it’s ethical to assist suicide to whether young pop singers have any career left after they dance mostly naked on television…what a wacky world! I think the question about how we can see God in all of this, and how the culture may have concluded that it can’t, might bear some exploring.

So stick your coffee cup in your pack, engage your preferred mode of transportation, and head to The Table. I’ll see you on Sunday morning!

Peace,

Tim Plett
