Who are you Cheering For?
But sometimes we went to visit my grandparents and they had a TV. TV and cookies-how do you top that?!
One of the things we got to watch was sports. I didn’t watch enough to really become a fan of any particular team. Maybe that’s why, when I was trying to decide who to side with I usually just went with whoever looked like they could use some cheering on.
However it came to be, to this day I find myself drawn to stories that root for the underdog. I think that’s one of the big reasons why I am drawn to the story at the heart of the Christian religion-because it cheers for the “less than triumphant” with a very heartening vigor.
This Sunday morning, just early enough to be at the Frame Arts Warehouse (318 Ross) by 10:30, roll out if bed and stagger on over. I’ll be cheering for you…
Peace,
Tim Plett
